Heemskerk Innovative Technology provides services in the field of advanced engineering, collaboration and management.

Technical domains all require their own specific expertise.

High-tech systems often consist of several technical disciplines that require cross domain overview for all life cycles of the system.
The system engineers in HIT are experienced engineers who have become skilled within different technical domains throughout their careers.

Key aspects
  • System engineering
With system engineering, we strive not only to achieve a sophisticated balance between complex technical requirements, but we also keep a keen eye on the business goals of our customers, to come up with a balance in the triangle of time-money-technology as our goal. For this, HIT often focuses on the big picture, on the coordinating and interconnecting of technical specialists and suppliers, and on the coaching of young engineers. See also our publications in the field of system engineering.
  • Engineering audit
An engineering audit is typically performed to review a complicated development process performance from an independent position and to see how “the project works.” One of the considering factors, for example, is how the various processes are set up, and whether these are transparent, effective and efficient.
  • Peer review
A peer review is a way of assessment to improve the quality of a system by submitting your work to others. HIT delivers reviewers with a extensive technical background who can zoom in quickly on specific focus points in complex design processes.
  • Design review
A critical moment in a development process is when the design of a system is tested against the requirements. By being able to orient in complex projects quickly, HIT can make an important contribution in the preparation of a review, take the organization and coordination of a review in itself and/or provide an independent chairman for a Design Review Board.
Collaboration is key

Doing joint research & development with various parties is not easy. After a promising start of cooperation between companies or research institutes most of the time, despite best intentions, some things go wrong.

Based on a number of questions and different possible arrangements, agreements and documents cooperating parties individually and / or jointly formulate answers for the sake of their joint project.

HIT has extensive experience with:
  • International collaboration
Through extensive collaboration with the best scientists in the world in the field of remote handling, robotics, mechatronics and haptics, HIT strengthens the Dutch knowledge society and continues internationally deployable at the border between science and practical application.
  • Consortium formation
As a typical connector, HIT ensures that companies, institutions and other organizations can find each other to participate in a common activity or unify their resources to achieve a common goal.
  • Proposals
For development projects and national or international grant programs, HIT can perform the complete formal offer of operation.
Innovation management for future success

New developments are needed to secure future sales. Without innovation management the R&D probably wouldn’t be as efficient as needed. The consultants of HIT understand which processes are needed to lead the R&D efforts in the direction of future success.

Important aspects:
  • Project management
Controlling & guiding whole projects. The way projects are organized, prepared, planned, executed and completed.
  • Interim management
Temporary management of a certain project. By quickly getting used to complex projects, HIT is able to deliver an important contribution, also in a short period of time.
  • Maintenance management
Preparation and optimization of the preventive maintenance program of a technical (sub)system with the aim to achieve the highest possible availability at the lowest possible costs.
